(Image: Marine Current Turbines)The New Scientist has an article on a tidal powered rig that should have an output of 1.2 megawatts and be running by year end off the coast of Ireland. The makers are figuring almost 20% of Ireland's electricity could be produced in this manner. Why don't they throw a windmill on top and really get the party started?
